On Tuesday, June 22nd, the Music City community will unite to assist victims of the floods that ravaged Nashville and Middle Tennessee earlier this month. "NASHVILLE RISING: A Benefit Concert for Flood Recovery," will take place at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena. It will feature performances by Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, who are spearheading the event, and numerous other artists. This superstar line-up will continue to grow and many additions will be announced as the event draws closer.

"The damage that we've seen to people's homes and the effect that the flooding has had on their lives is unimaginable. But we've seen the spirit of our community first hand, as volunteers, church groups and our local business leaders rally to help," said Tim and Faith in a statement. "We all need to continue to support those in need in any way that we can, and for that reason we could not be more appreciative to all of the artists, the companies and the people behind the scenes who collectively will make June 22nd a truly special night."

Tickets will go on sale to the general public this Friday, May 14th, at 10:00 A.M. CST at Ticketmaster. Ticket prices will range from to 25-75 dollars. Ticket auctions on select seats and VIP packages will also be available. The event will be presented by AEG Live/The Messina Group, Live Nation and Outback Concerts. "NASHVILLE RISING" will benefit the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee, which provides philanthropic services that enhance the Middle Tennessee area. The Foundation's Tennessee Emergency Response Fund ensures that one gift can impact the widest range of charitable needs. In the course of rebuilding lives disrupted by this devastating flood, it is impossible to know just what the needs of those affected will be. The announced performers will take the stage along with several of the inductees as the music industry and peers honor ABBA, Genesis, Jimmy Cliff, The Hollies, The Stooges, David Geffen, Barry Mann & Cynthia Weil, Ellie Greenwich & Jeff Barry, Jesse Stone, Mort Shuman and Otis Blackwell. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will air live on Fuse on Monday, March 15 at 8:30pm EST from The Waldorf-Astoria. The full star-studded line up of the ceremony is listed below:

The 2010 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees were chosen by the 500 voters of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. Artists are eligible for inclusion in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 25 years after their first recording is released.

In addition to being honored at the ceremony on March 15^th, each artist who is inducted is commemorated at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland Ohio, which serves as a monument to rock and roll’s impact on our culture.  These inductees will be honored – along with previous year’s inductees and hundreds of other artists – with an exhibit and film that serve to tell the story of modern music.

Faith flew to New York City (Wednesday, February 10^th), the evening of a massive snowstorm that had just dumped more than a foot of snow on parts of the city and surrounding areas to film the Project Runway finale.  As part of her duties, she attended the finale fashion show on Friday, February 12^th, along with Project Runway host Heidi Klum and judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia, who all furiously scribbled notes on each garment as a hundred models walked down the runway.

After seeing ten ‘Runway’ designers’ collections, (ten designers had the opportunity to show at Bryant Park to throw off those in attendance from knowing who the identities of the three finalists), Hill, Klum, Garcia and Kors went to an undisclosed location in New York City, where the judges deliberations was filmed and a winner for season 7 was chosen.

Said Faith of the experience;  “What I saw was truly extraordinary and it made judging very difficult. All of the designers were creative and imaginative.  But there were some whose craftsmanship was impeccable. Designers by trade, are always capable of sewing their own clothing, but the tailoring that I saw was extremely impressive; a few in particular knocked me out.  The passion that these individuals showed, and their eagerness to learn from feedback and criticism, should prove an inspiration for those that follow them.“

Faith returned to Nashville following the taping to continue work on her forthcoming studio recording.
